The basic system of you and your friends sounds very similar to the way I
travelled with college friends for 4 weeks a year out of college. We threw
ideas out, we put things together as best we could, and all ended up
satisfied with whatever we did do. It's good to live that way
rather than spending your vacation worrying about what you're going to do,
fighting over what you're going to do. Life's too short, to say nothing of
vacation being too short!
I'm glad you're back. I was a bit worried since you haven't posted in a
while. The vacation sounds like a real success. Glad you had fun. As for
the IRS questionnaire and the jury duty - the little devil on my shoulder
is jumping up and down and hissing, "throw them away"....tee hee. Welcome
home.
Sounds like a great vacation. I like coming home, but I prefer to still
have a few days to ramp back into reality.
Glad to have you back, thanks for the kind comments at my blog.

Since I've had kids I've noticed that I tend to reach the end of a vacation
worn out and ready to come home for a break. With just a few adult friends
(if you pick the right friends) there tends to be less hassle and less
organisation needed. I'm glad you had a good break, even if you did get a
less-than-perfect homecoming.
Glad you enjoyed your vacation. I was in Orlando two summers ago.
Although they say it's bigger than New York, it doesn't really convey the
energy and excitement New York has. Probably have to go to Miami to get
that. We stayed in a great condo for the week. The company was great, but
Orlando didn't impress me.
JS and BlackPhi, friends are by far the best traveling companions. Capt.,
I didn't really care for Orlando and the surrounding "communities". The
traffic was constant. The whole place was incredibly congested. And you
are right, it's not exciting like New York. Paula and RHG, I like a bit of
time to get back into the routine. I sent the jury questionaire back with
a copy of my hearing evaluation. I have no problem doing jury duty but
they have to know I have limitations. As for that IRS questionaire, it was
supposed to be anonymous, so I told them to knock off the form numbers
since they don't make sense to anyone except an IRS agent. I also told
them simplified English would be a nice touch. Then Monday I got a
postcard from the IRS asking if I'd sent the questionaire back yet. I'm
thinking it may not be completely anonymous.
With temperatures in the 70's & 80's, I can understand why you wanted to
stay longer!
