March~ In Like a Lion

It's not dusk and the picture isn't fuzzy because I was moving it.  I just finished shoveling the walks.  I ran in to grab my camera and everything was covered when I came out.  This is what snowing one inch every hour looks like.  Three hours in.

Now I don't know why the date didn't change but this is the next morning.  March 1st.  This is our little corner of Johnstown with a foot of snow.  Down the walk closer to the garage is Honey's attempt to show that spring is right around the corner.  He shovels part of the grass so he can see the green underneath.

When we had finished with the walks, I told Honey my inner child wanted to make a snow angel.  He told me his inner child was going to beat up my inner child if he had to deal with wet drippy coats and clothes making the floors messy.  Me and my inner child ganged up on him by calling him a bully then we went in to call him names over hot chocolate.  Later, Honey tried to make up with us by giving us gooey apple cinnamon rolls.  I forgave him.  My inner child isn't speaking to me now.

Yesterday, it was 70 degrees, and I made a snide comment about March coming in like a lamb. Today it snowed 4 inches. That's Colorado for you.

Well, sweetheart, yunz just need to move back here to Ahia. Today, on March 2nd, it's 60 degrees. No snow here.

And since I'm headin' over towards The Burgh on Tuesday, I'm hopin' it's gone.

Haven't seen much of the stuff in person this season. Looks pleasant there. In New York, snow is enjoyable as it's falling. But a half hour after it stops, it gets dirty and messy. Seems like Honey may have had some hibernation ideas of his own. ;]

Nutsy-I know you are jealous, I don't know if it's the snow or the cinnamon rolls. My inner child is being childish by not making up.

Paula-It was 60 today so now we have 1 to 2 inches left.

Neal-See Paula above. We were just lucky. The clouds got stuck between the Laurel ridge and the mountains (God that cracks me up, Pennsylvania mountains, as if) over by Bedford county and they dumped on good old Johnstown. Pittsburgh should be just fine for you tomorrow. Johnstown, on the other hand, is supposed to get three inches of rain on top of all that melting snow. Flooding--Johnstown??? Could get interesting.

Mary Blu-I KNOW!!! It was perfect for snow angels. Light and fluffy.

Capt.-If he did we'll never know. We laid around for an hour with our pants undone (I know your thinking--that's a good start) complaining that we ate too much. Oh well.
